Hot Chocolate Dry Mix Recipe

Cooler weather is upon us, and well, any excuse to bust out some hot chocolate and curl up under a blankie and not be disturbed and read a good book for hours and hours while the crackling fire gently warms my toes….oh, sorry!  I lost myself for a minute there…

Okay!  Back again!  We may not be able to provide you with the latter scenario but we can give you this:  The MamaBake Hot Chocolate Dry Mix recipe; so you never have to buy the expensive, processed stuff from the supermarkets ever again.

Here, have it:

Hot Chocolate Mix:

4 cups milk powder
1 ½ cups icing sugar
2 cups good quality cocoa powder
2 cups finely chopped milk or dark chocolate
1 teaspoon salt.

How to use:

Combine a tablespoon of this with 1 mug hot water.

Dry mix recipes are awesome to have in the larder as back up and we have more for you, including soup and brownie mixes etc.

When you make these up, be sure to keep them in an airtight jar and also, you know those little sachet thingies you get in electronical things sometimes?  Silica gel packets?  Keep one of those in your dry mix to keep the moisture out.
