Should you find yourself in an empty house may we suggest you make a batch, find a good book and a spot in the sun and proceed to eat the lot!
If that remains a dream only happening in some bizarre parallel universe, then how about the next best thing? Pop a few trays of these delights into the oven at the start of your next MamaBake session and snack on them over many cups of tea as you chop, chat and big batch!
6 cups almonds or mixed nuts of your choice
2 egg whites
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2tsp ground cardamon
1 tsp ground cloves
Whisk the egg white in a bowl for a couple of minutes.
Add the sugar and whisk till incorporated.
Add the spices.
Add the nuts and stir to coat them evenly.
Spread the nuts onto 2 baking trays (lined if needed)
Bake in 160c oven (fan forced, 175c if regular) for about 30 minutes, stirring a few times during cooking and taking care not to burn them.
Divvy them up in containers or snack away as you MamaBake the day away!
